After 16 years it was nessesary to replace this hut. So we had another project for 2006. So we pulled it down and made it new:

The old Hut

Paul’s Hut Named after Toe’s American friend, Paul Fihn, whom he met in 1986 when he first moved to Mae Hong Son. In 1990 this hut was built as the second hut with privat bathroom in honour of Paul who came to visit each year at Sang Tong Huts.

Paul’s Hut was a classic bamboo hut with Tung leaves roof, the main structure mostly of teakwoods with quite a big area for sleeping room.
Double Mattress with wooden frame and mosquitoe net, hanging board and shelfes let you had enough space for your peronal belongings.
If you opened the double frame door you will have a beautiful panoramic view over the paddy fields and the valley. ( you can see them only if we trimm our trees brances).
The bathroom was also classic Thai style but with hot and cold shower, a big water backet for a mandibath, which you might know from Indonesia.

Paul’s The large size of veranda invited you for a private breakfast or just to hang around. The view is fantastic.

Paul’s Hut is located next to Tree Tops
